I have been developing my book magicka for years.

During my undergraduate studies at York University, I immersed myself in English Literature courses where I dissected and analyzed literary texts to become a discerning reader.

I also developed the art of crafting compelling narratives in advanced level Writers Workshop courses. Within these courses, I learned how writers could employ the elements of language (e.g., diction, style, tone, imagery, etc.) to get their intentions across while crafting their work.

While completing the post-graduate Book Publishing certificate program at Centennial College, I enrolled in Copyediting and Substantive Editing courses, where I developed my keen editorial eye.

At Colborne Communications, I practiced my book magick providing manuscript evaluations and working on developmental editing projects for both fiction and non-fiction books.

As an Editorial Assistant at The Rights Factory literary agency, I further applied my book magick to assess and provide feedback on writing samples, and aide in the development of book proposals to go out on submission to publishing houses.

I have won awards (such as the Richard Teleky Short Fiction Prize and the Femme Sole Award) for my writing, published my writing in various literary magazines, and have been the recipient of a Canada Council of Arts literary arts grant.
